The Mountain Between Us – Charles Martin

Charles Martin’s The Mountain Between Us was first published in July 2011 and is a romance/disaster novel that tells the story of Dr. Ben Payne and writer Ashley Knox as they fight for survival after getting stuck in the High Uintas Wilderness following a plane crash.

For the movie, Idris Elba’s character’s name is changed from Dr. Ben Payne to Dr. Ben Bass and Kate Winslet’s is changed from Ashley Knox to Alex Martin.

There are several other changes including the occupation of both characters.
