My Foolish Heart is a 1949 film based on J.D. Salinger’s short story Uncle Wiggily in Connecticut, which first appeared in a 1948 issue of The New Yorker.
My Foolish Heart is notable for being the only film adaptation of Salinger’s work because he was displeased with the adaptation which had very little in common with his story, and subsequently refused to let Hollywood adapt any of his writings.
