1998 detective novel Gone, Baby, Gone by Dennis Lehane was adapted by Ben Affleck and Aaron Stockard for the 2007 film Gone Baby Gone.
The novel, set in Boston, follows private detectives Patrick Kenzie and Angela Gennaro who are hired to find a missing 4 year old girl who was abducted from her bed.
Gone, Baby, Gone is the 4th novel in a series featuring detectives Kenzie and Gennaro.
The film adaptation received a lot of praise from critics and actress Amy Ryan who played Helene McCready, the drug-addicted mother of the kidnapped girl, received an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress.
Gone Baby Gone is Ben Affleck’s directorial debut film.
